About Ralaine

I'm Ralaine (Ray-lane)

I love coffee dates with friends. I love conversations about the Holy Scriptures. I love making others laugh with my silly stories. I love the fellowship and discussions each Sabbath with my brothers and sisters.  I love creating: sewing, decorating, crafting and selling my goods. I'm Anthony's wife

I've been married to Anthony for 39 years. My experience has shown his ability to carry life's heavy loads without complaint. He isn't one to back away from responsibility. I greatly admire the man.  Anthony always supports me with my multiple endeavors, he does all he can to help me be successful. We make a great couple, standing strong side by side.

I'm James and Hannah's Mom, Daniel's Mom-In-Law

My children, who are now adults, still capture my heart. I'm so proud of who they have become. Life has hurled tremendous heartaches their way, still, they choose to overcome and press on. Daniel is an amazing husband to Hannah and a loving dad to their son. They are beautiful inside and out. Here is a rare photo of the three of them together.

I'm Ezekiel's Mimi (grandma)

Ezekiel is my sidekick. He brings me such joy. I get to gush over his latest Mario and Luigi drawings, clap and jump with enthusiasm watching him ride his bike for the first time without training wheels and count as he tries to run faster and faster to break his own record. He is my sweet place in life. I'm thankful for the hands-on involvement I have in his life. When my mind drifts back to those dark days after James' arrest, when I questioned if I was a good mother or not, I settle the issue by looking at my grandson. I have helped him develop into a secure, kind and loving child.

I'm an Author

In my book Burden of Promise: When Tragedy Becomes A Teacher, I tell an inspirational story of faith forged among the ghastly details of a most disturbing murder. The story holds the attention of the true crime genera and/or the faithful follower. It is such an unusual, rare working combination.

I worked on my manuscript for 14 years. I didn't know about the craft of writing. After several re-writes, my friend Carrie Padgett invited me to her writers' group. This wonderful group of women taught me. Weekly they listened as I read each chapter. When tears interrupted my ability to read, one of them would step in and carry on. We are bonded together in heart, though varied in political and religious beliefs. Meet the members of "Publish Darn It!"
